Public Health Pandemic Flu Response

San Francisco is preparing to respond to a pandemic flu.  The following materials have been developed in coordination with Bay Area Counties and the California Department of Public Health.  These tools may be used or modified in the event of a severe pandemic flu.

Pandemic Flu Response Plans

In the event of a severe pandemic Bay Area counties will activate their response plans.

• San Francisco Plan - The Infectious Disease Emergency Response Plan and Respiratory Aerosol Transmissible Diseases Annex would guide a pandemic influenza response in San Francisco.
• Alameda Plan
• Contra Costa
• San Mateo Plan

• Santa Clara Plan

In San Francisco healthcare practitioners and the public may be asked to utilize the following infection control measures to prevent the spread of disease.
