  • Based on all of the above, determine your need and eligibility for vaccines and travel-related medications
  • Tell you about the risks and benefits of each vaccine so you can make informed choices
  • Administer your vaccines and work with your schedule to complete your vaccinations before departure

Yellow Fever Vaccine Update (18 June 2008):
  • Yellow Fever vaccine (YF-Vax) supply issues are improving but not yet back to normal (See CDC 26 March 2008
  • We still must schedule many clients to attend group YF-Vax sessions. We apologize for the inconvenience, but until the shortage is over, we need to ensure that no dose is wasted.
  • Please see our Yellow Fever Vaccine page for more information and how to arrange for your YF vaccine.

Do you need an immunization, TB skin test, or blood test in order to attend school, start a new job, complete your immigration requirements, or for personal health maintenance?
  • No appointment needed.  Please drop in during clinic hours.

Vaccine Supply Notes (updated 18 June 2008)
  • Japanese Encephalitis vaccine (JE-Vax) is currently out of production in the USA.  The vaccine company has rationed the supply until a new company obtains FDA approval for a new JE  vaccine (anticipated late 2008).  Meanwhile, we do get some JE-Vax shipped to us every month.  JE-Vax is recommended only for travelers at high risk of JE exposure.  If you think you will need JE-Vax, please call AITC first to check availability.
  • Yellow Fever vaccine (YF-Vax) - see above.
  • Rabies vaccine has been tightly restricted by the manufacturers.  We are able to obtain it only under specific circumstances (see CDC 20 May 2008).  If you will be traveling and think you need rabies vaccine, please call us to discuss your needs.  If you work professionally with animals, you may qualify for vaccine available specially through the state health department -- please call us to check your eligibility.
